Denise Gold

Principal Attorney

Denise Gold, Esq. has been practicing law since 1991. With over 3 decades of experience, Denise has dedicated her career to Workers’ Compensation Law, specializing in representing carriers, safety groups, and self-insured employers. Her role involves the preparation and attendance at hearings, depositions, negotiations, and claim settlements. Denise is also skilled in resolving third-party liens, pursuing recoveries, and arbitration proceedings per Section 5105 of the Insurance Law. She has extensive experience handling appeals to both the Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) and the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division. She has administrative experience overseeing claims from inception to closure.  

Prior to establishing her firm, Denise served as a Senior Attorney for the Uninsured Employers' Fund of the WCB from 1991 to 1995. In this role, she handled all phases of claims administration, coordinated investigations, obtained independent medical evaluation hearings, and litigated appeals before both the Board and the Appellate Division.

Denise earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1989 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Fordham University, graduating in 1986.

Sydney Gold

Managing Attorney

Sydney began her legal career at just 10 years old, attending Workers' Compensation Board hearings and working in her mother's office during the summers. From a young age, she has always aspired to follow in the footsteps of her mother, Denise. During law school, she gained valuable experience shadowing attorneys and advocates in family court and interned for a supervising Supreme Court Judge in the Matrimonial Division. Her work involved conducting legal research and observing conferences, hearings, and trials.

Since graduating, Sydney has worked at The Gold Law Group, managing operations, creating efficient organizational practices, and immersing herself in the intricacies of New York State Workers' Compensation Law.
